Chen Kun is a celebrated Chinese actor, singer and author. Born on February 4, 1976, he made his acting debut in the 1999 film “The National Anthem” and then rose to fame with his role in the 2001 television drama “Love in Shanghai.” Other famous roles include the films “The Knot” (2006), “Painted Skin” (2008), “Painted Skin: The Resurrection” (2012) and “Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon” (2013). Chen Kun sang many of the soundtracks to his television dramas and also released three studio albums. He established his own agency, K Pictures, in 2010 and founded a charity called Power to Go, which promotes a healthy lifestyle by encouraging people to go outdoors and walk. As an author, he has written many books, becoming the first actor to make China’s Writers Rich List.
