A Tale of Love and Loyalty

With rebels advancing on the kingdom and the Emperor dangerously ill, the ruler’s reluctant wife Su Yan (Ming Jia Jia) must reach out to the man whose love she was forced to forego five years ago – the Emperor’s younger brother Yu Wen Yuan (Richard Li). Wen Yuan has since become the rich and powerful King of Nanchuan, but he has not forgotten how his heart was broken when Su Yan married his brother. He's willing to help — but at a cost Su Yan might not be able to pay. This 2024 Chinese drama series was based on a novel by Zhou Fu Yao and directed by Zhou Xiao.
