Brocade Odyssey

In Tang Dynasty China, the clothing, textile, and fabric industries are booming. Ji Ying Ying (Tan Song Yun) hails from a merchant family, and has developed her own inimitable dyeing techniques. These valuable skills have caught many people’s eyes – including that of the ambitious prince Sheng Feng Ze (Jing Chao). The prince plans to capture Ying Ying and use her talents to help his clan dominate the brocade trade. But her former childhood friend Yang Jing Lan (Zheng Ye Cheng) is also on the scene, albeit undercover, as he investigates an unsolved mystery. As rivalries and schemes threaten to engulf the entire realm and its powerful craftsmen, could Jing Lan foil the prince’s dastardly plan? And will reuniting with Ying Ying help them safeguard the future of the realm? This drama was based on the novel “Shu Brocade Family” by Zhuang Zhuang.
