Taking advantage of this rumor, the emperor sends Princess Chang Sheng to marry feared warrior Prince Li Jing (Wu Jun Ting) of the neighboring kingdom, in the hopes that she might cause his death. However, Princess Chang Sheng decides to actively pursue Prince Li Jing romantically and form a genuine relationship. Although her attempts seem one-sided, the prince may not be as cold as he appears... Can this couple beat the odds? The Unexpected Marriage is a 2024 Chinese romantic comedy drama directed by Xi Dao, adapted from the web novel The Leftover Warrior Princess by A Ci.
