The year is 1993, and Yeung Kwong Yiu (William Chan) is a senior inspector in the major crimes unit investigating a serial murder case. However, a mysterious turn of events transports him 25 years into the future to 2018, where he learns that his wife and daughter are missing, and the case he was working on still remains unsolved. With the help of his former superior, Kwong Yiu assumes a new identity, re-enters the police force, and partners with officer Chan Hoi Ching (Cya Liu).
