After losing her parents and her family's status, fallen noblewoman Luo Ling Yu (Lin Yun) and her younger sister decide to seek refuge with distant relatives. Along the way, she crosses paths with Lu Yun (Alen Fang), the third son of the Lu family, but a misunderstanding causes tension between them that carries over to the next time they meet, as Lu Yun dismisses Ling Yu's attempts at friendship, believing that she's just trying to climb up the social ladder. Determined to build a life of her own, Ling Yu establishes her own business and helps Lu Yun overcome numerous crises, changing his perception of her. As they spend more time in each other's orbit, they begin to develop feelings for each other... but who will be the first to admit it?
