At 16 years old, Rio Yuki (Meari Hayashi), the heir to a prestigious family in Kyoto, was forced into a loveless arranged marriage with wealthy IT CEO Masatomo Takamine (Atsuhiro Inukai), despite never meeting him before. This continued for 10 years, with an annual 50 million yen birthday money transfer from Masatomo to Rio serving as their sole point of "contact."
