Mononoke

Between the end of Japan's Edo period and the start of the Meiji era, a mysterious Medicine Seller travels throughout Japan. He has a deep knowledge of supernatural and spiritual beings that proves useful on his journeys, as he occasionally encounters mononoke: spirits that linger in the human world past their time by feeding on negative emotions. However, mononoke aren't simple to kill, as the Medicine Seller must first determine their physical form, the truth of their death, and reason for remaining in the human world before he can vanquish them. The Medicine Seller is committed to investigating the hauntings and exorcising the mononoke, but if he isn't careful, he risks great danger to himself and others.
