After her family's business fails, Im Sang Mi (Seo Yea Ji) and her family move to a countryside village to try and start anew. However, the village is under the control of Baek Jung Ki (Cho Seong Ha), the charismatic leader of a pseudo-religion called Guweonson. While Sang Mi's parents begin to fall under Jung Ki's influence, Sang Mi is desperate to find a way out. Unfortunately, most of the other village residents ignore her pleas. Only a small group of men, including Han Sang Hwan (Taecyeon) and Seok Dong Cheol (Woo Do Hwan), answer her call, believing that helping her is better than living their own aimless lives. Can they succeed in overcoming Jung Ki's power over the village and exposing the truth, or will they lose everything, including themselves? This drama was adapted from the webtoon “Out of the World” by Jo Geum San.
