On the same night, Wen Ding Yi (Xu Ruo Han), the daughter of a high-ranking official, is forced to go into hiding after her father is accused of treason, disguising herself as a male executioner and adopting the name "Mu Xiao Shu." Eight years later, they unexpectedly cross paths when Hong Ce saves Ding Yi's life, and begin an uneasy alliance when they find that they have a common goal. However, they're unaware that their pasts should actually make them enemies, and their budding romance only makes things more complicated.
