Since her birth, Gu Jin Zhao (Ren Min), the eldest daughter of the Gu family, was raised by her maternal grandparents. Although she was largely ignored by her biological parents, her grandmother pampered her, and she developed a unique, headstrong personality. Upon her return to her birth family, Jin Zhao refuses to bend to others' will as she establishes her place in the family hierarchy, attracting the attention of several men, including powerful minister Chen San Ye (Ci Sha), noble son Ye Xian (WINWIN), and gentleman Chen Xuan Qing (Zuo Ye). Given her abnormal upbringing, Jin Zhao understands that who she decides to marry will play a large role in how her life turns out, especially if she wants to become a woman of influence. Will she manage to achieve her goals? This drama was adapted from the web novel of the same name by Chen Xiang Hui Jin.
