Against all odds, a gifted young runner named Oguri Cap emerges from humble countryside beginnings, made unique by her atypical racing style and her love of running rather than a strong desire to win. Guided by her trainer Jo Kitahara and supported by her loyal friend Belno Light, Oguri Cap grows more ambitious, especially when she finds a rival in rising regional star Fujimasa March. Oguri Cap soon outgrows her local scene, ascending to the high-stakes world of the Twinkle Series, where she becomes a national icon. There, she faces formidable rivals like Tamamo Cross, as well as world-class racers from around the world, pushing her to test the limits of her endurance and spirit. As she navigates fierce competition and the weight of public expectation, can Oguri Cap make it all the way to the top? This animated series was based on the "Umamusume" game series, featuring characters who take on the names and spirits of real-life racehorses.
