Till Death Do Us What

Kota (Kuranosuke Sasaki) is a budding writer whose works are still unpublished despite over 10 years of effort. Life changes beyond recognition when he and his junk food-loving friend of almost two decades Yoko (Hiromi Nagasaku), decide to tie the knot. Even though they are in their late 30s, Yoko quickly becomes pregnant. But during a routine health check-up, they discover that she also has terminal cancer. She successfully gives birth to their baby son, but dies shortly after. Suddenly a single father, things start to look bleak for Kota. But then things take a turn for the weird when Yoko’s ghost starts appearing to him, encouraging him to chronicle his life in a blog. Unsure if he is really just imaging her, Kota nonetheless decides to pay heed to her advice – with surprising results! “Till Death Do Us What?” is a 2015 Japanese movie that was directed by Koji Maeda.
